I have several projects in the works, which I will break down here:
Finished and awaiting publication
1. FOR A FEW SOULS MORE- the long awaited sequel to the Magpie Coffin, this should be releasing in the next two months.
2. THE ATOLL OF SYRASH- A sword and sorcery/ horror short story for a project I cannot name as of yet.
Novels
1. Untitled Apocalyptic Novel for CLASH Books. I've been working on this for a LONG time. It's currently my entire focus, and I think the extra time to polish this will have been worth it.
2. WHAT THE WATERS GAVE US- This is my coming of age/ be careful what you wish for tale. I have a tentative publisher for it. I think he too will be proud of the finished project.
3. IT CAME OUT OF THE SKY- A throwback horror novel in the vein of CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. I intend on finishing this one by spring so that I can pitch it at Stokercon.
Collaborations
1. FOR YOUR LOVE I'D EAT THE WHOLE WORLD, co-writing with Lucas Mangum. This one is about halfway finished, everyone just has to ask themselves, "Doesn't the Blob also deserve love?"
2. BLACK MAGPIE VS. HEMATOPHAGES, co-writing with Stephen Kozeniewski. Our third collaboration, featuring our favorite characters. Looking at a Thunderstorm release when finished. This one takes place before Magpie Coffin chronologically. I can promise that it is bloody and it is DARK.
3. THE WANING OF SILVER CREEK, co-writing with Emily Young. Our second collaboration in the historical horror vein. Can't give away much other than it takes place during the Yukon and Alaska goldrushes at the turn of the century.
Collections
THE SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO MURDER AND PERSUASION-Collected Short Fiction. After compiling the TOC, this will contain thirteen stories. It's a mix between stuff that was published and stuff that has only ever been read at the past few SCARES THAT CARE weekends. Intending on getting that out early next year. Also, shout out to WESLEY SOUTHARD for the awesome title.
