Hardcover or paperback?
I am seriously divided. I love the look of hardcover. I feel so sophisticated with my lovely Junji Ito hardcover collection. Not to mention, they are far more durable (looking at you, very depressed and torn-up Hannibal series that I refuse to replace). And just look at those sexy dustjackets.
But there's something about paperbacks that feel right. They're light. They don't dig into my spine when I take them on a backpacking trip (and truly, it's no wonder why poor Silence of the Lambs looks the way it does)! The way the cover bends (and later breaks).
I'm kind of obsessed with collectible editions right now, but ah, my mass-market paperback. I shall never forget thee.

Also, some paperbacks have a tight binding that makes them harder to read.
